‎2/15/12 ~ What a Beautiful day to be out & running Hounds...Barker Brook's Stormin Norma, Wahkisik's Blackdash Baron & Barker Brook's Lethal Lacey. What a Fun Day!!  This is what it is all about... enjoying nature at it's Best with some good Working Dogs!!

2/24/12 ~  Our Grandson Cyrus getting ready to put Barker Brook's Runum Ragged Andy back in the Kennel after some running today. He is so helpful with the dogs... Thank you Cyrus!!

2/18/12 ~ This is Buddy hunting solo (5months old), what a fantastic young hound - whelped 9/9/11 out of Raven's Macy & Wahkisik's Blackdash Rocky.  Rocky is out of FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny & Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey (their Grand Pup).  Owner, Russell Coulter says ...looks like he will be a Great Hound!!

2/25/12 ~ Hunter with his owner Kevin Raven & Buddy with his owner Russell Coulter these two young litter mates did a fine job running together (5months old) whelped 9/9/11 out of Kevin's female, Ravens Macy & Jerry Gautreau's Wahkisik's Blackdash Rocky (Anny & Bogey's Grand Pups).  This was a great cross... alot of nose, hunt, brains & endurance.  You Guys did a great job bringing out the best in these two fine male pups.  HAPPY HUNTING!!!!

This photo was taken recently near Sturgeon Minnesota  Matt Seefeldt,  Mark & son Grant Palas with Mark & Grant's dog Barker Brook's Arlo.  This was the  last weekend of the season,  rabbit population is on the low end of the cycle.  Mark said, no hares this day,  but they had a good time.  Arlo was whelped here at Barker Brook  5/30/09, his  Sire: Barker Brook's Waylon Willie & Dam:  Xena Of Greenwood Forest.  Photo by Matt Seefeldt

3/8/12 ~ Just Like Summer But With Snow!!
Jack & I with my brother Jerry's two young males Wahkisik's Blackdash Baron whelped 1/17/11 & Wahkisik's Blackdash Rocky whelped 3/29/09 both out of FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny & Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey & our female Barker Brook's Dialed In Danica whelped 1/30/11 she is out of FC Barker Brook's Triscadeca & Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey. These 3 young ones did an excellent job running the hare.  Makes my heart very happy to see this young pack doing such fine work.  A nice warm  fun day... Jack got one & I got two.... Yahoo!!

3/15/12 ~ Me with my Barker Brook's Stormin Norma & Jerry with his Xena Of Greenwood Forest.  A light snow during the night so we knew it would be good running.  Picked up after 3 hours of running, snow melting off trees making it very wet.  Hare running in pairs... at one point I saw 4 running in front of the dogs.   Could have gotten more this day but just want the dogs to have some good running & they did... Good spot to turn them loose & run!!  Stormin Norma just needs 5 more points & she will be an AKC Field Champion... Gotta Keep Her Tuned!!
